Travis Augustin joined Ruhter Auction and Realty as an auction assistant/ring man the summer after graduating college in 1995. For the next ten years, Travis also operated a row crop and cow/calf operation. This experience in production agriculture has been extremely beneficial in meeting the needs of his ag real estate and farm equipment clients.  In 2004, Travis obtained his Real Estate Sales Associate license in Nebraska and in 2005 also became licensed in Kansas. In 2006, Travis relinquished most of his duties with the family farming operation to join Ruhter Auction & Realty full time. That same fall Travis graduated from World Wide College of Auctioneering. Since that time, Travis has been involved in hundreds of real estate and personal property auctions.

In 2014, Travis along with Ryan Samuelson, acquired Ruhter Auction & Realty from co-founders Randy and Barb Ruhter. The 20 years of working alongside Randy and Barb taught Travis what it takes to consistently deliver positive results for his clients.  Travis is currently the managing broker for the company and is actively involved in the National and State Auctioneer Associations.  Travis and his wife Kelly reside on an acreage northwest of Hastings with their four children Tobie, Alex, Praxton and Annika.

Ryan is a 1995 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  After graduating with a degree in Agriculture, Ryan returned to his hometown of Trumbull to operate a Gelbvieh cattle seed stock business.  Because of Ryan’s knowledge and commitment to the field, Ryan was elected to serve as the President of the Gelbvieh Association of Nebraska.

In 2001, Ryan joined his father Dick Samuelson, in the family John Deere business, Samuelson Equipment.  Ryan began work in the parts department, and then worked for several years as the Service Manager before moving to the sales department and serving as the Used Equipment Manager. Ryan was elected to serve on the board of directors for the Iowa/Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association. 

During his years at Samuelson Equipment, Ryan and Dick were 20 year members of the Spader Business Management Group.  This group not only increased their knowledge of business practices but also expanded Ryan’s scope of farm equipment knowledge and business management. 

Ryan lives in Hastings with his wife, Julie, and his three children Morgan, Breck and Irelyn.
